QUEST FOR MIDDLE EARTH

Erebor has been returned to its former glory and the halls echo once more with the sounds off hammers striking metal, pickaxes striking rock, and the general chatter and laughter that is the trademark of a prosperous city. The great King under the Mountain, the Slayer of the White Orc, the mighty Thorin Oakenshield sits under the light of the Arkenstone and presides over the home he fought so hard for.

Dale is prospering too. Having used its share of the treasure of Erebor to rebuild, it has once again become a center for trade and wealth now flows into to it from all around Middle Earth. At its head stands Bard the Bowman. Dragon Slayer, a hero of the Battle of Five armies, and now King of Dale he his city with a fair hand, a kind heart, and a good head.

The Elves of Mirkwood returned to their woodland realm and now live in an ominous peace. The necromancer has left its boarders, and the darkness and sickness that plagues it has been pushed back for a time. The elves though are uneasy; they know that it is the calm before the storm but they do not know when the storm will break, where it will fall, or how much destruction it will leave in its path. 

And what of Bilbo, our little hero? A short time after the Battle of the Five Armies he travelled home to the Shire which, unsurprisingly, had not changed and he was content to move at the same slow pace it always had. But perhaps change is on its way... As well as riches beyond most Hobbits' imaginings, Bilbo brought back something else from his adventures. Something dark. Something dangerous. Something that holds the fate of the world in its cold metal and twisted magic. 

So Middle Earth has changed very little and yet, it has changed completely. At the moment the world lives on in relative peace but soon, not as soon as some might think, something will come from the shadows and change the very fabric of the place that is Middle Earth...

For the master of evil himself, the Lord of the Ring, the Necromancer lives on in Mordor, planning and plotting, growing ever stronger and able to reach ever further. Sauron bides his time but he will not wait forever.

QME is an RP site open to all fans of Bilbo's epic tale 'There And Back Again'; Dwarf or Elf, Man or Hobbit, OC or Canon, everyone’s welcome! Not only that, but we like to think that, with no specific word limit and the entirety of Middle Earth to explore and exploit, we’re able to give our members the most amount of freedom possible to express their creativity all whilst keeping the charm of Tolkien's world. Sounds fun, right?
